Norwest Boulevard to Bungarribee Road
The clinic is about 9 km by road from the middle of Bella Vista. One direct route follows Norwest Boulevard and then the Westlink M7. Bella Vista Station sits on the western edge of the Norwest Business Park, on the Metro North West & Bankstown Line. That line runs between Tallawong and Bankstown and does not stop at Blacktown. Bus route 730 (Castle Hill to Blacktown via Norwest & Glenwood) runs along Norwest Boulevard, including a stop after Lexington Drive, and ends at Blacktown Station. Bella Vista passengers then have about a kilometre on foot to the clinic.
Bella Vista’s families and Saturday mornings
Couple families with children made up 61.8% of Bella Vista families at the 2021 Census. At the 2021 Census, the suburb had a population of 8,384 people, and children aged 0 to 14 made up 18.5% of them. For parents juggling school days, a Saturday visit between 8am and 12pm may be easier to fit in. Weekday sessions run 8am to 12pm and 3pm to 7pm. At the 2021 Census, 36.0% of employed residents travelled to work by car as driver, though the Census was held during COVID-19 lockdowns. Parking is available for anyone driving over from Bella Vista.
Bella Vista Farm and the orange orchards
Bella Vista was once part of John Macarthur’s Seven Hills Farm, which was later acquired by the Pearce family. In the 1890s, Edward Henry Pearce of Bella Vista was growing oranges. The homestead and old farm buildings survive as Bella Vista Farm Park, owned by The Hills Shire Council. The suburb also takes in part of Norwest Business Park, where Woolworths consolidated its offices in 2006 and has its headquarters. If you work in the business park, the 730 bus along Norwest Boulevard and the weekday 3pm to 7pm session could suit a visit after work.
