At the 2021 Census, 34.1% of employed residents travelled to work by car as driver, though the Census took place during COVID-19 lockdowns. Prospect Hill and a suburb formed in 2004
Pemulwuy is named after Pemulwuy, an Aboriginal man who led resistance to early British settlement in the area, particularly around Toongabbie. The suburb was formed on 30 January 2004 from the eastern part of Prospect, on the site of a former Boral quarry and CSIRO land. Prospect Hill, which rises to 117 metres above sea level, is within its boundaries. Pemulwuy sits in Cumberland Council. From these streets, bus 800 links with Blacktown Hospital and Blacktown Station, so the trip to the clinic needs no change of bus.
