Bus 754 and the drive from Hassall Grove
From the middle of Hassall Grove, the clinic is about 10 km by road. One direct route follows Luxford Road and Rooty Hill Road North. Bus route 754 runs between Mount Druitt and Blacktown via Hassall Grove as a loop service. Mount Druitt station, at the other end of that route, is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western Line services, and Blacktown station is on the T1 Western Line as well. However you arrive in Blacktown, the clinic is about a kilometre on foot from Blacktown Station.
A young suburb and after-school timing
Hassall Grove’s median age was 32 at the 2021 Census, compared with 39 for NSW. Children aged 0 to 14 made up 23.0% of residents, and couple families with children made up 57.0% of families. For parents juggling the school run, the clinic’s afternoon session runs from 3pm to 7pm on weekdays, and Saturday hours are 8am to 12pm. No GP referral is needed to book. Online booking is open at any time, so you can choose a slot once the week’s timetable is settled.
Rowland Hassall and Clare Catholic High
The suburb is named in honour of Rowland Hassall (1768-1820), a Church of England minister associated with the area. Many families know it as the home of Clare Catholic High School. Hassall Grove borders Oakhurst, Dean Park, Bidwill, Hebersham, Colebee and Marsden Park, and sits in the City of Blacktown, about 46 km west of the Sydney CBD. If you are planning a visit around the school day, the weekday session that starts at 3pm leaves time to get across to Bungarribee Road.
